Whether I’m photographing weddings, engagements or family portraits, my approach is always the same, so that I can get the very best out of the day. My secret is simple. Keep it natural, relaxed, fun and creative.
With over twenty years experience as a photographer, every photo opportunity comes naturally to me. Its second nature.
Since becoming a professional wedding photographer, I’ve always kept true to my style and not once have I taken the traditional approach to wedding photography.
The best results in my experience, always come from a real and natural perspective. This style of photography is known as documentary wedding photography also referred to as reportage or journalistic wedding photography. This captures the real emotions and moments, instead of resulting in a more ‘set up’ style.
I love working in this way, as I believe your weddings are about people. When someone looks at my photographs, I don’t want them to see just a wonderful image but I want them to feel that moment!
Covering weddings though out the UK, Spain and the rest of Europe
I’ve been lucky enough to cover weddings at some amazing wedding venues. One of my favourite venues is North Cadbury Court in Somerset. I’ve covered a high Indian Hindu Wedding at Highclere Castle, otherwise known as Downton Abbey in the famous TV series. There are some cracking venues all over Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, including Lyde Court, Hellens Manor, Clearwell Castle, Berkeley Castle just to name a few. I’ve covered weddings in wonderful locations, including Cornwall, Wales, South West England, Northern England, Ireland and London.
Nowadays I spend my time split between the UK and Spain. Covering weddings all over Europe. Many of my Spanish documentary Weddings take place in Andalusia.
So if your looking for an alternative place to get married then Spain is a great option!
